A friend of mine has just turned 42, as in the Meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything – and this bunch:
According to one band biography, it’s at this point in their career that the rot set in and 2 band members quit in dramatic fashion a year later. (Cue lots of “Level 21″ gags.) Meanwhile, over on the Time Warp Player, a 12” mix from happier times and a true band effort – “Something About You.”
After listening to two Level 42 songs I can quite categorically state I am not a Level 42 fan. Cool video but is there any variation in their sound?

Mostly no – Mark “Thunder thumbs” King’s bass playing was their unique selling point, but “Leaving Me Now” is a great ballad. And the video for “Something About You” is much better but wasn’t on YouTube….
